Chris Manthorp
Independent journalist and older age professional
Chris Manthorp has recently worked as Director of Older People's
Services for Circle Anglia group, and a trustee for the Elderly
Accommodation Council. He lectures frequently, is a freelance
journalist and writes for Guardian Society and Caring Business on
issues affecting older people.

He has published a book on a 'toolkit' for communicating with people with dementia in English, Spanish and Portuguese. He began his career as a psychiatric nurse, moving into residential care for people with dementia because he felt change was vital and easier to achieve, and then into commissioning and management. He was a founding member of the Bradford Dementia Group.
