Nancy leads JRF's work on Place and Poverty, working closely with Emma Stone.

Profile

Nancy joined the Foundation from the British Refugee Council, where she was Head of UK and International Policy, responsible for the Council’s policy and research teams as well as projects supporting refugees to re-qualify and teach in the UK, offering independent advice on voluntary return and bringing together international NGOs working in Afghanistan.

Prior to this she was a Principal Policy Officer for Barnardos and Chair of the Refugee Children's Consortium. She was previously a Programme Director at the Children's Rights Commissioner for London. Her career started as a mental health advice worker at Oxfordshire Mind, before moving to Mind nationally to work as their first Advocacy Legal Adviser.
