In a lecture for CREW Regeneration Wales and The University of Glamorgan, Julia Unwin CBE, the Chief Executive of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, will argue that we risk facing a decade of destitution – compounded by a 'perfect storm' of three pressure systems – money, systemic failure of the welfare system and, crucially, the language we use to describe people and places in poverty.
The lecture, jointly organised by CREW Regeneration Wales and the University of Glamorgan, will be given at the Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay, close to the National Assembly Senedd and has over 150 people registered to attend.
