| Description |
A door motor that
can be mounted on any internal swing door. The motor is capable of opening
a door of up to 100kg in weight, although this is reduced to 80kg if arm
extender is used. (Arm extenders are used where the gap between the top of
the door and the motor is greater than 34mm, ie if mounted above above a
deep architrave).
|
| Features |
• Manual
override. Physical movement will activate the motor and continue opening
the door (push and go).
• Safety stop. If the door encounters an obstacle when closing, the
motor will stop and reverse to open position. The door will then attempt
to close again.
• Pre-emptive slowing. If the door encountered an obstacle the last time
it tried to close, it will slow as it reaches the obstacle's position. If
the obstacle is encountered again, it will open and stay open.
• Mountable on left- and right-hand hinged doors.
• Can push or pull the door leaf.
|
| Testing method |
7,000 continuous
operations using mains power and stand-by battery.
|
| Comments |
• The safety
features worked every time tested. Even after its extensive run time, it
continues to run smoothly and quietly.
• It is compact and competitively priced.
• There are some limits to the doors it can be fitted to. Doors mounted
in a deep reveal can provide installation problems, particularly if the
internal door face is more than 120mm from the centre of the motor. This
problem is consistent with other similar motors but Intacall have a wide
range of door arms that may assist with awkward installations.
• Currently the motor is supplied with a 240V supply and is networked by
an interface mounted external to the motor. An integrated network card,
which supplied the motor with low voltage power, would make it easier to
install and provide additional network functionality. |
