Jacquie Dale has been appointed Director of Housing and Community Services for the Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) and its sister organisation, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF). Jacquie takes up this newly created post with immediate effect.
Joining the JRF in 1997 as Community Development Officer, later becoming Deputy Director of Housing and Community Services, Jacquie was in charge of housing services for the JRHT during last January’s inspection by the Audit Commission. The Commission’s report assessed the Trust as two stars, placing it in the top 25 per cent of housing associations.
Jacquie previously worked for the National Association of Councils for Voluntary Service and for Agewell – a national programme of health activities for older people. She has developed health projects to meet the needs of Asian women and produced a Women’s Health Handbook for a voluntary based health project in Leicester.
Julia Unwin, JRF Director, said: “I am delighted that Jacquie is taking up this important role of providing the residents of the Housing Trust with excellent services. Her appointment ensures we will continue to ground the Foundation’s research and policy work in the reality of the operational work of the Housing Trust, making certain that these two parts of Joseph Rowntree’s legacy work together for maximum impact.”
