Achieving the impossible: Interagency collaboration to address the housing health and social care needs of people able to live in ordinary housing

Lorna Arblaster, Jean Conway, Anne Foreman and Murray Hawtin

22 June 1998

Despite both practitioners and users having an interest in agencies working effectively together, there are a number of difficulties in doing this. Achieving the impossible provides a greater understanding of the nature and practice of interagency collaboration, drawing on a wide range of examples where housing, health and social care agencies have successfully worked together.

The report also provides a broad overview of policies influencing housing, health and social care to inform readers unfamiliar with policies not in their direct area of concern.
