Literature review examining the economic costs of child poverty's effect on individuals.

This report examines the costs of child poverty to individuals and wider society, through reduced productivity, lower educational attainment and poor health.

It explores the financial consequences of child poverty for individuals, families, neighbourhoods, society and the economy in the following areas:

  • health;
  • education;
  • employment;
  • behaviour;
  • financial;
  • family and personal relationships; and
  • subjective well-being.
