Evidence has shown that those ex-prisoners without satisfactory accomodation are more likely to re-offend. This study examines difficulties faced by prisoners in their search for a home, following a sample of prisoners over the course of several months after their release. The advice available to prisoners prior to their release is evaluated and the perceptions of professionals in this field are measured against the experience of ex-prisoners.
