Increasing polarisation between better-off and poorer neighbourhoods in Oldham and in Oxford

Data from two apparently contrasting urban areas - Oldham and Oxford provide clear evidence that growing income inequalities, found at national level since the early 1980s, are apparent within both areas and that there has been increasing polarisation between poor and better- off neighbourhoods. This polarisation may now be widespread within towns throughout Britain.
