JRF consultation response to the ODPM Consultation Paper - 'Homebuy: Expanding the Opportunity to Own'. JRF would certainly commend Homebuy and hope to be able to use it in preference to shared ownership for most new build homes, recognition needs to be given to the fact that costs and values are lower in some areas than others and a 75% Homebuy mortgage is unaffordable to key workers and first-time buyers in many places.
