Background information for a lecture and discussion hosted by the JRF on 5 September 2006.
Social exclusion has been at the heart of the JRF's core concerns since its foundation in 1904. In August 2006, the JRF commissioned two papers for a discussion event intended to inform current government thinking on its new Social Exclusion Action Plan.
The other paper, Where poverty intersects with social exclusion: evidence and features of solutions by Donald Hirsch, is also available.
