This study explores how key social problems might be addressed in future years, and provides background detail to support the summary review .

Tackling disadvantage. The report includes chapters on the future for education, families, housing, long-term care, regional disadvantage, and income. There are supplementary chapters on key questions that need to be addressed, and background papers underpinning the arguments. The study is based on a wide-ranging review of the research evidence and a series of seminars and discussions with key academics, journalists and policy makers.
