Unleashing the potential: bringing residents to the centre of regeneration - report
This report draws together the lessons from the 33 studies which made up the Foundation's Action on Estates programme.
The studies provide a comprehensive body of research covering many different aspects of community involvement and ways of developing a more central role for tenants in the regeneration of their estates.
Unleashing the potential brings out the key messages and the implications for policy and practice, highlighting particular initiatives and models from estates around the country. A companion video presents the main lessons from the report and provides concrete examples of what can be done to promote successful resident involvement in neighbourhood regeneration, it covers a wide range of issues from estate design to community arts, from finding jobs for local residents to tackling crime.
