Bradford Research and Development (BRAD)The JRF wants to broaden its existing knowledge base in the City of Bradford with an initial 10-year commitment to improving life in Bradford communities. This will be done through ongoing research and development work as well as working in partnership with local people on housing and care projects. |

Programme summary
The Bradford community guide is now available. The guide is an online resource, listing community and development projects across the Bradford district.

This programme aims to gain insights into race and ethnicity, urban/rural decline, and the challenges of regeneration through attention to the following three themes:
1. Culture makes communities
Examining the role of arts in strengthening communities in disadvantaged areas - e.g. enhancing neighbourhood life, and increasing solidarity across age/ethnic barriers.
2. Faith and cohesion in communities
Looking at how religion can help build 'social capital' and support area regeneration, as well as examining how faith affects community cohesion.
3. Impact of migration on communities
A topical issue relating to the dispersal of asylum seekers to Bradford and the settlement of refugees.
