Procurement and our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

At JRF/JRHT we want to work alongside organisations who believe and uphold our values, including those that relate to equality, diversity and inclusion.

As a supplier, contractor or sub-contractor we would expect you to have equality diversity and inclusion policies that ensure that you comply with equality legislation and demonstrate their application in your organisation through your policies including those that relate to recruitment, grievance, disciplinary and training provided to your staff.

Our procurement policy requires suppliers to provide details of their compliance with equality legislation and that their policies and practices (including training available to employees) evidence that they prohibit and take a proactive approach to preventing bullying, harassments and discrimination on the following grounds.

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Gender identity or expression
  • Race or ethnic origin
  • Sexual orientation
  • Transgender status
  • Religion or belief
  • Marriage or civil partnership
  • Pregnancy or maternity
  • Socio economic background
  • Political or trade union affiliation

We have a transparent, fair and proportionate process in choosing those we work with and will encourage organisations to adopt policies that prevent any form of discrimination under the Equality Act 2010. You can download our self-certification questionnaire below, which we ask potential new suppliers to fill out. This outlines what we look for in suppliers.
