Paul is a creative writer and editor, and leads on copywriting at JRF.

Paul began his role as JRF's chief copywriter in November 2018, having previously led the content team. He joined JRF in 2006.

He's currently focusing on how we tell a new story about UK poverty and has been experimenting with doodles as a way of helping people to make sense of poverty.

Paul is a former journalist, and has worked for public relations and internal communications agencies. His media career began at the age of 13, when he took on a paper round.

Away from work, Paul writes a blog on mental health and wildlife.
