Since 2012/13, the proportion of children in large families who are in poverty has increased substantially from 33% to 47% only seven years later.
The poverty rate for children in larger families with three or more children is now back to around where it was in 1996/7 (48%). Good progress had been made until 2012/13 in bringing that rate down, however it has clearly been unravelling in recent years.
