In 2015/16, 26% of people living in a household with a disabled person were in poverty . This rate remained the same as last year. 20% of people living in a household without a disabled person were in poverty, a 1 percentage point increase from the year before.

Poverty is measured as the proportion of people living in households with an after housing costs income below 60 per cent of the contemporary median household income.
