Annual salary - £98,000
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) were established over 100 years ago to search out the underlying causes of social ‘evil’, influence social advancement and demonstrate how that can be achieved. Our mission today is to shape a prosperous UK without poverty.
As we shape our strategy for 2022 and beyond, we face several questions. What activities should we be carrying out to forward our mission to solve poverty in the UK? How do we best use our resources to fulfil our ambitions? How can we best address the causes of poverty and improve the lives of those in poverty, either directly or through our influence upon others?
About the roles
We are seeking three new Directors to join our senior leadership team, bringing a diversity of backgrounds and experiences, to help us shape and deliver ambitious plans for the future.
Reporting to the Group Chief Executive, we are looking for a Director of Evidence and Policy, Director of Innovation, and Director of Communication and Public Engagement. Collectively, these individuals will be responsible across the following areas:
- Deepen our understanding of the causes and nature of poverty in the UK in the 21st century and how to solve it
- Shape our strategic approach to innovation, working with local partners and people with lived experience of poverty to shape new solutions
- Crystalise our approach to increasing public and political will to solve poverty.
If you share our commitment to bringing about an end to poverty and can demonstrate inspirational leadership in your field, we would be delighted to hear from you.
