It comes out of a major research project funded by JRF which has catalogued and explored the implications of local council savings over the past five years. The aim of the project was to analyse the extent to which the range of measures has impacted on poorer groups of service users.

The tool is designed for policy officers and research staff in local councils, working alongside finance officers.

The tool can be found: http://www.gla.ac.uk/

It is free to use and openly accessible.
