On the journey to becoming a dementia friendly organisation

JRF’s Dementia without Walls programme started in June 2012, with a vision of making the UK a better place for people with dementia. In 2013 the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust committed to becoming a more dementia-friendly organisation and employer.
This paper shares the lessons that have been learnt.
