A life in the community: Supporting people with mental health problems in ordinary housing

Deborah Quilgars

Developed in 1995, 'Home-Link' is a living support network, a particularly innovative interagency initiative specifically set up to meet the long-term housing and support needs of people with mental health problems.

This report provides a detailed description and investigation of the main elements of the Home-Link schemes, looking at what difference it has made to people's lives, the benefits for inter-agency working and the financial costs involved and the challenges facing agencies interested in developing a similar scheme.
