Networking across regeneration partnerships: A national study of regional approaches

Marilyn Taylor, Mike Kinghan and Stephen Thake

A review of the National Network of Regeneration Partnerships, this study explores whether there is a need to develop further regional and national networks.

The report explores the important role that can be played by well-organised networks in helping regeneration practitioners to share information, learn, compare experiences, and feed back lessons from these experiences to policy makers at various levels.

It outlines how regionally based networks could complement the work being carried out by: the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit, regional agencies, the proposed Centres of Excellence, and a range of other agencies involved in the work of developing skills and knowledge in the context of neighbourhood renewal. The study was commissioned jointly by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit. Ref: 442
