With nearly 30 per cent of residents under 16, how housing organisations relate to young people is crucial to the management of estates.

This report focuses on housing professionals' involvement in various types of youth work within the 10-16 age range on ten estates across the UK.

The report assesses various different approaches to youth work, examines particular issues, such as consulting with young people, and looks at what action housing organisations might take both to provide more child-friendly locations and to reduce complaints and crime. The report concludes with a range of good practice points aimed directly at housing professionals.
