It summarises the last of three ‘dialogues’ on the subject, which was hosted by Glasgow Caledonian University and JRF with the participation of the Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice.

Key points

  • There is growing pressure for significant action on climate change in the run-up to the international climate negotiations in Paris in 2015. This pressure is coming from international institutions, activists and researchers.
  • Within the UK, the Scottish Government continues to take a lead in putting climate justice on the international and domestic agendas.
  • The challenge of climate justice is increasingly seen as an ethical as well as an economic and scientific issue. The event emphasised the importance of underpinning the ethical agenda with academic evidence and research.
