Age and change: Models of involvement for older people

It is based on discussions with older people’s organisations and older people who are already actively involved, and draws on UK and international schemes and experience of involvement in a wide range of other fields. It gives a brief guide to different forms of participation so that older people and their organisations can:

• be as well-informed as possible about the strengths and weaknesses of different models and approaches;
• have a clearer idea of what they might be letting themselves in for when they get involved through any one of them;
• choose the approach that best suits their requirements.
