The Joseph Rowntree Foundation set up the Rural Housing Policy Forum in 2005 to consider the issues around the problem of shortages of affordable housing in rural areas, and to suggest remedies.

After a series of formal meetings, and visits to rural communities in different parts of England, the Rural Housing Policy Forum has come to a number of key conclusions.
