This paper was commissioned as part of JRF's programme on Globalisation, which explores and promotes awareness of the impacts of globalisation on the UK and focuses on communities and people in poverty. This paper:

  • classifies global governance institutions;
  • examines how these institutions have contributed to the production and/or the alleviation of poverty in the UK; and
  • outlines how anti-poverty campaigners in the UK can engage with global governance institutions.
