Poverty and ethnicity: key messages for Scotland
This publication looks at the links between poverty and ethnicity with a focus on how this affects Scotland in particular.
It examines policy and practice in Scotland and makes recommendations about how to tackle poverty among all ethnic groups.
Overall, poverty is higher among ethnic minority groups than within the white majority population. JRF’s Poverty and Ethnicity programme, a major research programme which commissioned this Viewpoint, seeks to understand why this is, and to suggest solutions.
This report is part of the race and ethnicity topic.
