Emma was a university academic for over 20 years prior to joining JRF, holding posts at the universities of Leeds, Kent, Cardiff, Bangor and Cambridge. Emma's research publications cover a wide range of topics relating to crime, social policy and qualitative research. Emma works to create and share powerful and impactful qualitative insights, amplifying the voices of people with lived experience of poverty and destitution.
