Poverty in Scotland 2025 launch webinar
The launch of this year's independent, annual state of the nation report which sets out the nature and scale of poverty in Scotland.
One of the central messages of Challenge Poverty Week is the power of raising our collective voice against poverty. This year the focus returns to children in priority families, who continue to face unacceptably high poverty levels despite being identified as a priority years ago. Parents still feel overlooked by decision makers, and the poverty rate among these families is rising rather than falling. As Scotland heads towards the next parliamentary election, politicians have an opportunity to reverse this by focusing on what really matters to people. Building a Scotland where all children can flourish is an investment in both their futures and ours.
