Rivka Smith

Rivka works within the Insight Infrastructure Team at JRF, leading the Grounded Voices programme. This programme amplifies the perspectives of people whose voices are too often absent from debates about poverty and forms a key part of JRF’s work to build a more inclusive and connected insight infrastructure, one that recognises the value of real‑time human experience alongside traditional data. Before joining JRF, Rivka was an academic who published in several key social policy areas including policing and public health, with a focus on how structural inequalities shape people’s experiences and outcomes.
