Amir Rizwan
Amir is Director of London Social Ventures, a pan-London initiative hosted by Queen Mary Innovation and funded by Research England. The programme brings together London universities, researchers and students to build impact-led ventures addressing social and environmental challenges through place-based approaches.
He has over a decade of experience across UK social investment, philanthropy and mission-led finance. His previous roles include Big Society Capital, where he led engagement with trusts, foundations and family offices and authored the UK Catalytic Capital report; Comic Relief; CAF Venturesome; Macmillan Cancer Support; and Daring Capital. He began his career in financial services at BNP Paribas and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Amir is a trustee of The Clothworkers’ Foundation and serves on the board of Social Investment Scotland.
